Founder details
Drawing upon his years of experience in the medical industry, Bruce Bartlett founded Medical Service Associates in 1995. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine, Bruce had previously held clinical positions at two hospitals in Pittsburgh, serving as Chief Technologist, Technical Supervisor, and Department Manager. Later, he joined a private practice cardiology group where he helped develop a non-invasive diagnostic lab.
As practice administrator for the newly opened diagnostic lab, Bruce Bartlett assumed responsibility for all aspects of the business, including medical billing. It quickly became clear to Bruce that dedicated billing supervision was essential for maximizing reimbursements. In response to this need, he founded Medical Service Associates, a company committed to delivering honest, hard-working, and exceptional client service.
Today, Medical Service Associates serves over 100 private practices, encompassing more than 200 providers, and has earned a reputation for honesty, hard work, and exceptional client service. Bruce’s commitment to excellence has been recognized with numerous accolades, including a nomination for “Entrepreneur of the Year” for Western Pennsylvania and New York in 2008, and the Community Service Award from Anchorpoint Counseling Ministries in 2019.
